Family Program
Research tells us that recovery rates are increased when family is involved in the treatment process. We not only help the person who is struggling with their substance use disorder, we help their families as well with our unique Family Program. Our Family Program is 3 days (Fri-Sun) and is designed for significant others and family 14 years and older.
Our experience has shown that when the patient’s entire support system is involved, addictive behavior is more difficult to sustain. The stress of living with someone who is abusing substances can have physical, emotional, social, and spiritual consequences. Families often feel confused, frustrated, angry, and helpless. Participants in the Family Program will have an opportunity to verbalize their hopes and feelings for their loved ones.
More importantly we provide an opportunity to identify solutions. Overall, support and encouragement are critical for families to recover from the family Dis-ease of addiction. Our family driven programs center around the following objectives:
Education about substance-related disorders
Identification of the effects of addiction and codependency within the family
Learning healthy communication skills
Understanding the recovery process and relapse prevention
